Welcome to the Southwestern Michigan Association of REALTORS. We offer three basic memberships; REALTOR®, REALTOR® Personal Assistant and Affiliate.
REALTOR® membership If you are a licensed Real Estate Broker, Salesperson or Appraiser, in order to become a REALTOR® member you must complete and submit a REALTOR® application with the appropriate fees. Please review the New Member Fee Schedule to determine the total amount you will need to pay with your application. The application fees and prorated Annual Dues are located at the bottom of the schedule according to the month that you are joining. If you currently hold REALTOR® membership at another Association and are paying dues, we will need a letter of good standing from that Association stating what dues you are currently paying so we can deduct those dues from your fees. The Annual Dues are billed every June 1st.
→New REALTOR® members are required to attend a 3 day Ethics & Orientation class within the next two times that it is offered after joining. Please review the Ethics & Orientation schedule and its policy.
→The bi-monthly MLS fees with the amount and billing schedule are also located on the New Member Fee Schedule.
REALTOR® Personal Assistant membership If you hold a real estate license and are working as a Personal Assistant for a current REALTOR® member you must complete and submit a REALTOR® Personal Assistant/Clerical application with the appropriate fees. Licensed Personal Assistants join as REALTOR® members. Please review the New Member Fee Schedule to determine the total amount you will need with your application. The application fees are located at the bottom of this sheet according to the month that you are joining. You are not considered an MLS member so you do not pay any bi-monthly dues but you do have restrictions. Please read the application carefully for these restrictions
→New REALTOR® Personal Assistant members are required to attend 1½ days (all day Monday & Tuesday a.m.) of Ethics & Orientation classes within the next three times that it is offered after joining. Please review the Ethics & Orientation schedule and its policy.
Electronic Supra device - A REALTOR® member can lease an electronic ActiveKey pad to open the Supra keyboxes or install an app on their smartphone by searching for supra ekey in your app store. Contact our staff at 269-983-6375 for an authorization code. An iPhone currently requires the purchase of an eKey fob to communicate with the Bluetooth keyboxes. Please review the New Member Fee Schedule for the bi-monthly lease fee on these devices
Affiliate membership Affiliate Membership is open to any company or individual who is not engaged in the real estate profession as a licensed Broker, Salesperson or Appraiser. Please look over the Affiliate Member Benefits sheet for the benefits, annual dues and Secondary Affiliate membership information. To determine the amount of fees, please take a look at the bottom of the Affiliate Application under the month that you are joining. If you are interested in leasing an electronic Supra device for our keybox system, you must submit a separate letter of request with your application explaining the need for the device and how it will benefit our Members. The Board of Directors approves all of these requests.
We have an auto-pay program that you can authorize. Please review the Credit Card Authorization form. If interested, fill it out and submit it to the MLS Office anytime to start your worry free auto-pay program.
